Hydrangeas Again

As promised, i’ve been back out with my camera AND a tripod!

I’ve done a little more research and suspect this is a lacecap hydrangea, composed of a flat ring of petaled florets that surround a lacy cluster of smaller florets. Apparently, the acidity of the soil has a lot to do with the colour of the petals.

How many colours on one petal?
Florets – big and small
That tiny bloom

I’m so grateful for this beautiful shrub brightening up our garden.
