Leith Docks

Today was a surprisingly pleasant January day, especially considering all the snow we’ve had recently.  It was just what I’d been hoping for because I’ve had a photography mission in mind for a while.  We don’t live far from Leith Docks but it just isn’t an area you often need to go to and I was quite intrigued by it.   So after pumping up the bike tyres and oiling the chains, James and I headed off to see what we could see.  As you would expect, lots of the docks were closed off unless you had proper ID.  Luckily there were still plenty of interesting sights in the areas open to the public.

My favourite pictures from the mission are these two of some old disused cranes that now appear to be art pieces / pigeon coops in a casino’s car park.
